Whimsical Florals in Acrylic Workshop

DATE 08/20/ 2026

DATE & TIME:
Artist Prachi Raheja will guide you step by step in creating your own whimsical floral still life on an 11 × 14" framed canvas.
Rather than worrying about perfect realism, you’ll learn to simplify shapes, play with color, and use expressive brushwork to create a painting that feels joyful and uniquely yours.
You’ll learn how to:
-
Create a balanced floral composition using simple shapes
-
Mix and layer colors to create vibrant, harmonious palettes
-
Simplify flowers and leaves into expressive, painterly forms
-
Build dimension through layering, highlights, and shadows
-
Create interesting patterns and decorative details on your vase
-
Use expressive brushstrokes to add movement, texture, and personality
-
Know when to add detail—and when to let the painting breathe
No drawing experience? No problem!
This workshop is designed to be beginner-friendly and approachable. You’ll be guided through each stage of the painting process, with plenty of encouragement and room to experiment. You don’t need to be “good at drawing” to create something beautiful.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a finished 11 × 14" framed acrylic painting, new painting techniques, and the confidence to continue exploring whimsical florals on your own.
